We went on a long road trip recently down to South Padre Island for a blogging getaway. Taking trips within your own state is fun especially in a state like Texas that is huge. The GPS said it would take about 7 hours or so to drive down there from Houston. That is no quick trip for sure, but the first time I slipped into the 2017 Lexus NX 200T F Sport I just knew that we would be riding in comfort while traveling down to South Padre Island. Oh did I tell you that I did all the driving myself since my husband couldn’t come. Yeah that…
While I could talk about all the amazing and cool features that the Lexus NX 200T F Sport offers, I want to mostly highlight the comfort. See most of the time on roadtrips after 2 hours or so my hips start to hurt, I can’t ever seem to find the right sitting position in the seat. Having to push buttons over and over again to get just the right angle for your legs and hips and back can be so annoying at times when it comes to most vehicles. Not in this vehicle. I was able to find a “just right” seating position fairly easily after getting in. Each time that we got out of the car for gas or food, I wasn’t having to unfold myself and stretch my legs. My hips did not once get stiff and uncomfortable. Holy cow these seats are like little miracle workers. I was able to drive all 7 hours without needing multiple breaks.
Comfort While Traveling
Lexus got it right with the shape and design in the Lexus NX 200t. The armrest with pad control of the nav/radio are at a comfortable level. No reaching or straining to change the channel. Now this is a slightly smaller SUV/CUV in size compared to the RX version. It is not quite as wide or long. We packed A LOT of stuff to take down with us since hello I have two kids and I wanted them to have all their beach fun accessories and snacks/drinks to have along the way. The kids had ample leg space even with all their stuff and booster seats for a great ride.
The F Sport package takes this comfortable CUV and steps it up quite a few notches with the sport tuned suspension, premium LED daytime running lights, active sound control, and 18″ F Sport Wheels with All-Season tires. The turbo charged engine helps in those freeway situations where there are only two lanes down 59 South and you need to pass an 18 wheeler.
The 2017 Lexus NX 200t F Sport is my pick for our next round of long distance travel, or at least give me those seats to put in every car I ever need to drive again. The NX provides comfort while traveling.
