My name is April Ockerman. I am a born and bred Texas girl and still live here close to Houston with my hard working husband. We have been married since 2006. We have two silly, but wonderful kids: Dylan and Isabella. They are my life and I am blessed that I can stay home with them working various jobs (Like this fabulous blog) from my house while I watch them grow! I am also an auntie to 3 munchkins that are over my house a lot!!
What does my life consist of right now?
-Raising my kids. They make life busy and messy, but as much as they drive me crazy I love them. They both play soccer on competitive teams. We have soccer 6 days a week, and it keeps us so busy. Posts related to my kids is under the All Things Kids tab.
-PTA Extraordinaire. I have served on my kid’s school PTA for 7 years now. It is my way of giving back to the teachers/staff and trying to make my kid’s school just a little better while we are there. It adds another layer of busy to my life, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

-Healing my body. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2013. I underwent a radical hysterectomy as well as chemo/radiation. I am so beyond thankful to say that I am CANCER FREE!! Cancer takes a toll on your body and I will forever be changed by it!
-Cooking/Baking. I have a love for baking that has been around since I got my first Easy Bake Oven as a kid. I used to have a home baking business, but I still bake for family and friends. I love testing out new ingredients and pushing myself out of my normal recipes. Visit the Recipes Tab for all things cooking and baking.
-Travel/Cars I have a passion for discovering new places. While I don’t have as much time to do it right now, I constantly dream of going somewhere new.
