After seeing all the products at Blogger Bash this summer, there were a couple that I just knew my kids would “flip” over. One such product is the PlaSmart Kick Flipper. It is just like the board part of a skateboard just without the wheels. It lets your kids practice their kicks and flips that they would want to try on a skateboard with much less risk of the wheels going out from under them. While it might look like much the Kick Flipper provides lots of entertainment.
My daughter used it to rock back and forth on while watching TV. I could see that it took her a lot of balance to stay evenly on the Kick Flipper without falling off. She would then scoot back and forth on the rug to get to different places in the living room. Really kinda cool and imaginative if you think about it. Since they both play soccer, I could see this really helping them with their core strength and have fun at the same time.
My son did more of the practicing of tricks that he would like to do if he had a skateboard. He would jump up super high then try to land on one foot or just at the edge of the Kick Flipper. I like that they would get much less hurt on the Kick Flipper than if they had a real skateboard. My son is way too much of a daredevil for this momma!
They even did a few tricks of flipping their stuffed animals in the air. It was hilarious to see how far they could send them.
If you are looking for a unique toy that can be used for imaginative play as well as helping with core strength and balance then I would suggest getting a Kick Flipper from PlaSmart. Get it on Amazon for $19.99 with Prime shipping.
I was sent the Kick Flipper in order to facilitate this review. All thoughts are my own.
