This post is sponsored on behalf of Pfizer Pediatric and 20th Century Fox. Talking about how Sick Just Got Real. All thoughts are my own.
The sickies keep going around at my kid’s school. The back and forth cold and hot weather of Texas sure isn’t helping any of it. It was over 80 this past weekend but the week before we had a 40 degree day. No wonder I can’t keep the germs and mess away. So what do I do? Make sure that I am stocked up on supplies from medicine for the cold symptoms, movies to keep my kids entertained while they rest on the couch, and other essentials to help them get over being sick faster. Sick + Movies + Medicine= All Better.
Supplies for Sick Kids
I have a trio of medicine that I keep in the house at all times for whatever ails my kids. Children’s Advil® is the first up. From the random fevers they get with nothing else, to headaches.. Children’s Advil® is our pain reliever solution, recommended for ages 2-11. Children’s Robitussin® is great for the cough and chest congestion sickies. It has saved us from those middle of the night coughing fits that come when your kids have drainage, for ages 4 and over. Children’s Dimetapp® helps handle when they have the full on head cold and cough, for ages 6 and over. Medicine to cover all the bases when my kids are sick.
Movies are another essential supply when it comes to sick kids. You want them to be able to rest and relax when they are sick. Getting a new movie they haven’t seen or a non scratched copy of one of their favorites is smart. Ice Age Collision Course from 20th Century Fox is a movie that is sure to keep your sick kid entertained and bring a little smile to their face. Don’t forget a nice comfy blanket and pillow for them to relax on the couch while they watch their movie.
While their appetite may not be there while your kids are sick, some things that I keep on hand are popsicles, juice boxes, and crackers. There aren’t many kids that wouldn’t like to have a popsicle. It is soothing to the throat and helps in little ways to keep your kids hydrated.
What are some other supplies that you keep on hand for kids when they are sick? Any tried and true tips to keep them entertained?
Right now you can save on Children’s Advil®, Children’s Dimetapp® and Robitussin® at Target with the Cartwheel app. Add the coupon to your cartwheel for 10% off Pfizer Pediatric products and select 20th Century Fox DVDs at Target through February 20, 2017.
