Laundry is a never ending task in just about any household let alone one with two kids that play soccer daily. My kids wind up going through 2-3 outfits per day. Even if I do a load of laundry per day I never feel like I get ahead of the piles of clothes. Having appliances that are ENERGY STAR® rated will save you money and more when it comes to laundry. Clothes washers and dryers that have earned the ENERGY STAR deliver superior efficiency and performance by incorporating advanced features.

Sustainability at Best Buy

Best Buy is committed to positively impacting the environment and its communities. Best Buy provides their customers with a wide assortment of sustainable products. This includes offering a large selection of energy-efficient products, including ENERGY STAR certified electronics and appliances.

o   Better for you – ENERGY STAR certified clothes washers and dryers save energy, which means that you will save on energy bills.  Many are also equipped with advanced features that make cleaning and drying easier and more effective.

o   Better for the environment – Saving energy means that ENERGY STAR certified washers and dryers help protect the climate, which means that your kids and the planet will benefit for years to come.

o   Better for your clothes – ENERGY STAR clothes washers use a variety of sophisticated cleaning methods that are gentler on your clothes, while ENERGY STAR clothes dryers use less heat and sensor drying which reduces wear and tear on clothes from overdrying.

Other Ways to Save Money and More on Laundry:

  • Always do full loads of laundry. Doing half loads or less takes just about the same amount of energy and water consumption as doing a full load
  • Change the water level and other functions for each load that you do if it is not a full load so that it conserves water and does quicker washing if the laundry is not heavily soiled
  • Check clothing label tags and hang clothes versus heat drying whenever possible
  • Do regular maintenance and cleaning on your washer and especially dryer to keep it running at optimal settings (clear out that lint trap!)
