A Day in the Life of Miss Bean

If you remember my recent post about nourishing the mind of an older dog, I talked about how I was changing the food of my parents dog Miss Bean to see if it would help her in her aging years to want to me more like her old self by using Purina ProPlan Bright Mind brand dog food. She of course took to the food fairly quickly and over the course of a month+ I began to see changes in her. Here is what her days look like now.

She starts the day with a bowl of her new food, Purina ProPlan Bright Mind that we picked up at PetSmart.

My parents had gone out of town and Miss Bean is used to sleeping a lot and being home by herself, but when she stays with us we get up early for school and our dog who is only 18 months+ likes to play. The only thing is our dog doesn’t realize she is quite so big compared to Miss Bean who is only about 14 pounds versus Cinder 40. Miss Bean can sure hold her own though when they decide to play and race around the house.

Miss Bean on many occasions would outsmart Cinder by not running in complete circles or getting to an angle that Cinder could not reach her. That just goes to show that Miss Bean’s mind is getting sharper and she is remembering some of the old tricks she used to pull when other dogs were around. It is just so funny to watch them play together and rough house. Miss Bean is quite fiesty these days, that or she is just a grumpy old lady haha.

Throughout the day Miss Bean would pick up some of the new toys that we got her, bring them to use, then go chase them. She loves to sit and wait until we throw it, then jump up and try to catch it mid-air that is if Cinder didn’t get in the way!

She gets another small bowl of food in the evenings, then soon it is bed time for us all, that is after a little dress up time with Bella 🙂

It is nice to see the changes in Miss Bean.
