My son is just about to start back to preschool in another month. Oh how things have changed just since he started school for the first time last year as a three year old. Grant it he only goes to school for a couple of half days, but he loves it. I can see him as he grows older and wanting to pick out his own clothes and other things that the days are soon to come where he wants to be “cool for school”!!
Whether that means getting the latest clothes and shoes, making sure he has a good haircut, or just making sure his backpack and other “gear” are up to his standards.. haha
I am not sure I am ready for that stage yet.
Little Miss has even joined in by only wanting to wear certain clothes that are in her dresser or certain clips or flowers in her hair.

What is Gutzy Gear?
They are fun pictures, faces, animals, and other things that have a velcro backing that then attach to strap that you put over your backpack straps. Gutzy Gear is so easy to put on and off. You just fold the strap covers over your backpack straps then place your fun Gutzies wherever and however you like. If one day you only want one or two on, you can take all your other ones off. I can definitely see these as something that the kids collect and trade with each other.
The concept overall is a bit old for my son, but he still thought they were “awesome” in his words 🙂 They are great though to throw a party with for all the kids to bring their backpacks then have lots of Gutzies to choose from and switch out.
He was so proud of himself 🙂 And he loved being able to put them in different orders and positions.
What is cool is that you can find them at most major retailers. They retail for around $5.99-$7.99 per two pack of Gutzies and around $14.99 for the strap covers.
Little Man will definitely be too cool for school this year!! 🙂 I just love this little boy!! The straps were a bit big for his little backpack, but they are still fun to have on and they actually make the straps more cushy. I am sure we will be having to buy more of the Gutzies so that he can switch them out as he pleases.
