Alligator Skin:
It takes a lot out of me to put myself out there for the world to either – notice me, criticize me or maybe even love me.
Being born into a family of redheads, I automatically stuck out like a sore thumb growing up. I didn’t grow up with a lot of money but I really think it helps me appreciate life as much as I do now. I feel blessed more than anything for the life I have been given, the path I have taken and the journey I still have to follow.
I’ve had a great deal of ups and downs in my life. I even survived some natural disasters – flood, earthquake (5.9 along the east coast but hey, it still counts), even a tornado; fire (although not technically a natural disaster by definition) plus several heartaches (yes – at the time it sure felt like a natural disaster.) I feel that getting through all of these, I’m a survivor. (Cue – Destiny’s Child)
Even with that being said – I sure wish I had the power to morph Alligator Skin through some of the harder times too!
