This past weekend I was a part of a wonderful event featuring the Graco® SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 at a local Babies R Us. The hostess of the event was Mariah from Formula Mom who I have to say did a great job. She was well prepared and knew so much about the car seat before we even got there.
We were joined by a few local bloggers who came out to see what the fabulous features of the newest Graco car seat that can hold your child rear-facing until 2 years old, which is the new safety standard. It was nice to be able to also show some pregnant moms in the store who were shopping for their soon to be babies all the specifics of the Click Connect 40.
So what is the Graco® SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 you ask? Well, it is the latest model car seat from Graco that can go from 4 pounds up to 40 pounds. It is the first of its kind that is meant to last kids until the age of two. The base has 8 levels of recline to move and grow with your baby. It also features a a one hand adjustable harness system so you can adjust the headrest and harness without having to rethread the harness.
I was pretty impressed with all the features that they have come out with in just the few years since my kids were so little. My favorite had to be the kick plate so that as your child gets older you can lift up the kick plate and save your seats from the markings from shoes. And boy do kids like to kick!! I also like that it comes with the extra padding you need for little ones then easily comes out when they grow. The headrest is also a great feature. I think it is something that should be included on all seats to keep babies heads stable and protected.
The price point is a bit higher on this seat, but when you don’t wind up having to buy a new seat after only a year or so because your kids outgrow them, then the price is an investment well worth every penny.
The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.
