#Mamavation Monday- Sore But Loving It

It feels so good to be back on a workout schedule. I started the latest Mamavation 2 Week Challenge and have to say I am sore. Not crazy bad sore, but sore nonetheless. We are doing more kickboxing type moves for the lower half and I am feeling it!! But that is where I need the most work is my lower half! Thanks to genetics and having 2 kids my hips have expanded.. haha

I did something to my knee on Thursday and not sure what I did, but my knee was killing me for two days so I have some workouts to catch up on. I am hoping I get through the next week of the 2 week challenge and see some results.

I have also begun a new weightloss protein shake routine. I will have more details on it later, but I do like the taste and the fact that it keeps me focused on my eating.

Our question this week is from The Chia Co:
What are your latest healthy food discoveries?
Lately, I have been looking more into protein shakes. I am not a big breakfast person, well let me rephrase that. I love breakfast foods, but rarely want to cook in the morning and I am not that creative with eggs. I try to eat cereal, but am not a big fan and it is hard to find ones that taste good and aren’t loaded with sugar. I really like just making shakes because I get the nutrients I need with fruit, protein and almond milk and it fills me up until lunch time.

This post is sponsored by The Chia Co and I’m writing this to be entered into a giveaway hosted by Mamavation – a community dedicated to obesity prevention & weight loss for women

The challenge has been tough, and I am just plain lucky that I came out of it with just a bump on the head. I feel fantastic though, and can't wait to have week 2 behind me. I too am working on a shake, it saved by butt this week giving me the fuel to get through. Good luck working through week 2 with your knee, and don't feel badly if you need to modify.

This kickboxing moves have been a lot of fun for me. My DD thinks it's funny to try and copy me, she also adds sound effects which make them seem less grueling lol!

I use to drink a lot of protein shakes, I've gotten away from them since the ones I really liked had fake colors Red# whatever in them and those give me migraines. If you find any good ones without all that kind of

I am not big on shakes and I am not the greatest cook. Breakfast has a lot of options and not all of them include cooking. How about a toast, almond butter and 1/2 banana?
