As I sit here listening to my daughter play with the toys she got for her birthday, look at the balloons and 6 roses I picked up for her today, I wonder where the past 6 years have gone. It has gone by so quickly but not all at the same time. She has grown and blossomed and become her own little person. Happy Birthday Baby Girl- So This is 6!!
Isabella was born on November 18th. It was going to be a planned induction because she was originally due a week later on Thanksgiving and my doctor would be out of town. Trust me I was fine with not having to wait another week. I went in early that morning and had her by early afternoon. We were released the next evening(because I really can’t stand hospitals) and now we were a family of four.
She was the chubbiest little baby that sure loved to eat. Man I loved her rolls! As she grew and her hair grew, the curls came… oh how I love her curls. See I have bone straight hair so having a kid with curls was a whole new world to me. She was a goofy toddler with some spunk.. and some attitude. Oh boy could she be a handful at times.
She knows what she wants.. or doesn’t want… like when she would only wear pink clothes. No other colors. Just pink. Eventually she grew out of the only pink stage and adopted the I will wear whatever stage. Mostly things that don’t match at all or are completely matching from head to toe. You just never know which Bella will show herself today. She has a strong personality but is so very very shy especially with adults. Not speaking is her control mechanism for when she is scared or uncomfortable. Sometimes it gets the better of her and makes her lose out on fun situations and friends. Each year though she loosens up her hard outer shell a little more and I love to see her be more comfortable.
She has a killer left footed kick in soccer. They call her Big Kick Bella. Yep she is a lefty and soccer just seems to be where she shines now. She doesn’t have to talk, she can just run, listen to the coach, and play her hardest.
She is finally starting to want to learn to read in Kindergarten. I know she is a smart kid, but she hides it.
She drives me crazy most days, but I also love her so much. Those days when it is just me and her are the best for getting snuggles and girl time. I can’t wait to see her grow and change in this next year. I love you my curly headed girl!! Happy Birthday Baby!!
