It is a new year and car companies are just starting to reveal their 2015 designs. Ford revealed the all new F-150 design at the Detroit Auto Show and has now brought it to the Houston Auto Show. I was able to see the new F-150 and hear about its new features from Doug Scott, truck marketing manager at Ford Motor Company.
Did you know that 2013 marks the 37th year in a row that the F-150 was the best selling truck in America. It also marks the 27th year that it is the best selling vehicle. To hold a title for that long shows that Fords really are “Built Ford Tough”.
One of the biggest changes this year is the 700 pounds that they have managed to remove from the outer body of the truck by going with a military grade aluminum alloy body. This makes the truck more effective and more capable overall. With a High-Strength Steel frame, this truck is lighter but still super strong and durable. You won’t compromise the strength you know and trust from Ford with this new body style.
The new 2015 F-150 also comes with loads of new features that makes your truck more than just something to drive. It will be a tool and machine that is needed to get the jobs done. It can now be equipped with 360 degree cameras that allow you to see all around the truck to make maneuvering in and out of tight spots a breeze. Add in LED spot lamps on the exterior mirrors and no more searching for things in the dark. After all, work doesn’t end just because the sun goes down.
The truck offers just as much on the outside as it does the inside. With a full roof moon roof option, it is almost like having a convertible but in a truck. The angular design, shows off it muscular side while bringing you the riding comfort you want. It is also now equipped with 400 watt inverters so that you can charge your power tools from your truck!!
I was really impressed with the look and feel and capabilities that the new F-150 will be bringing to the market. If you can, head out to the Houston Auto Show this weekend and take a look at this masterpiece. There is plenty to do and see out there!
