Read about a new series called ASPCA Kids: Rescue Readers.
When we adopted our dog Cinder from the SPCA in Houston two years ago, it has since left a very soft spot in our hearts for all the animals who are taken in by the incredible caregivers at all of the SPCA centers. They do so much for these animals that have sometimes been abused or neglected. Our dog was removed from a house because the person had too many pets. Thankfully she wasn’t sick or abused but the person just got overwhelmed. Now Cinder is a huge part of our family and we couldn’t imagine not having her. She even still thinks she is the tiny pup instead of a 40 pound dog.
The ASPCA has teamed up with Studio Fun International, Inc. to publish a line of children’s books that help tell the stories of some shelter pets that have been rescued and their happy endings. The ASPCA Kids: Rescue Readers will show even the youngest of readers to appreciate pets and just what some of them have been through in their journey of being rescued and adopted. Each book is inspired by a real animal from the pet’s point of view. They are just precious and make you treasure your pets more and more. They are just at the perfect reading level for young readers so that they are simple enough to understand.
I love that the books bring an awareness to caring, protecting and loving animals that are put into your care. They should be a part of your family and be treated as such not tossed to the curb when you just don’t have time for them anymore. The older readers were great for my son. He wants all of them now. My kids sure do love dogs and cats and are always asking for books about them. What a great way to raise awareness in young kids about how precious the lives of pets are and how they all have their own stories to tell.
Go out and get your kids the ASPCA Kids: Rescue Readers. They will love them and the stories of these amazing animals that are saved thanks to the ASPCA can have a better life.
• Four to five percent of the purchase price of every book goes directly to the ASPCA to help continue its mission.
• Stories are available in paperback, library binding hardcovers, and e-books. The paperback books are priced at $3.99 (each) or $15.96 (for all four) everywhere books are sold.
Love the book idea —- great way to market SPCA and pet rescue. Your first pic is wonderful with Cinder in the background!
