One full week. We made it. My kids have started school and we are getting back into the routine of waking up and my kids being gone for most of the day. My daughter started Kindergarten and my son started 2nd Grade. Things have gone fairly smoothly so far, my daughter who I thought would have a harder time with it all seems to be adjusting pretty well and is actually enjoying going to the “big” school with her brother. As we had our teacher meet and greet, the teacher had her wish list items on a table. I always like to take a few of them and get the teachers more of the supplies that they will need throughout the year. I try to pick them up different school supplies throughout the year as well. Teachers do so much for our kids that by helping them with buying extra school supplies is the least that I can do for them. I want to share with you today my back to school teacher gift package that I sent with my kids.
Like I said I always get a few of the things on the teacher wish list. Bella’s teacher needed some colored cardstock so I picked up a few small packages when I was at Target. I will say that the Target dollar spot is a great place to browse for things for teachers. They had some clear trays that teachers could use for their desk and little supplies. I also found these cute mini clip boards that I am going to write their names on with a chalk pen. A tip for you, if you want the names to stay on them you could go over it with a spray sealant. I think I may just leave it unsealed so the teachers could use it again for notes they have.
Of course tissue is something that I am sure classrooms go through crazy fast. Kids and germs.. YUCK. Another great item to send is Lysol disinfecting wipes. I am sure that teachers want to combat germs as much as possible so wipes are a big necessity. Lysol wipes are an easy way to disinfect all the surfaces that our sweet germy kids touch. I also sent along a mini version of Lysol disinfecting spray. The teacher can easily spray down pencils and crayons that the kids touch throughout the day.
To round out the back to school teacher gift, I sent in some chocolate for the teachers sanity and a coffee gift card because we all know how draining kids can be 🙂
So do you send a back to school gift to your kids’ teachers? What else do you think I should include for next year? Tell  me in the comments!
So sweet —– and thoughtful!
