You have heard me talk about Box Tops before. Seriously it is the easiest way to earn money for your school. We have really revamped our approach to it this year at my kids’ school and get our parents involved in this simple way to give back to your school. From breakfast to dinner, earn box tops with foods that your family eats everyday. There are lots of products that now participate in having box tops on their packages for you to simple clip and turn into your school.
Starting with breakfast
We are a big cereal family so we always have 2-3 boxes around for us to be able to have a quick breakfast or even to take along as a snack later in the day. Believe it or not we still eat a lot of Cheerios. My kids are more into the Honey Nut flavor now, but we still get the original a lot too. I use it sometimes to make a trail mix snack for my kids. Before you recycle those cardboard boxes, check all over the outside to tear off the box tops and turn them into your school.

My kids would much rather eat snacks than real meals most days. They like to take items for afternoon snack at school like granola bars, fruit snacks, or applesauce. One of my favorites for them is the Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars. At HEB they have the larger multipacks of flavors. The kids have a choice on which ones they take and I don’t have to buy them quite as often with the larger packs.
From Breakfast to Dinner, Earn Box Tops
Our day earning box tops for school would not be complete without dinner. We just recently(not purposefully) had Taco Tuesday with Ortega Stand and Stuff taco shells with Box Tops on the package. I only realized it was actually tuesday when I looked at the calendar. haha New tip for you, use spicy Italian Sausage for your meat for your tacos. It is already seasoned so all you have to do is cook it. My husband was actually quite impressed with this new discovery. I didn’t have to add any extra seasoning to the pan and the meat was perfect for Taco Tuesday.
As you can see there are lots of ways that you can earn box tops for your school from breakfast to dinner. Talk to your school if they are not participating and getting parents involved with the Box Tops for Education program. Right now schools in Texas can earn 20,000 box tops. Head over and nominate your school to win, that is $2000 that your school can use however they see fit!!
