Celebrating Teacher Birthdays

Teachers are a huge part of my kids’ education and development. They spend so much time with my kids shaping their minds and helping their knowledge grow. I love that I can give back to them with my position on PTA as the Teacher Appreciation Chairperson. Throughout the year we put together random gifts, luncheons, sweet treats, and more to let them know just how much they mean to us.

Our school and community were majorly impacted by Hurricane Harvey, so in October we wanted to show extra appreciation for our faculty members, who continued to be there everyday for our kids despite the challenging circumstances.

We decided  to give back by throwing a party to celebrate teacher birthdays with decorations and cake. October is also National Dessert Month, so we had to have cake! I do have a little secret to share with you all. It is the specific frosting that I get on cakes that makes them that much more special and enjoyable. Whipped Icing makes all the difference when it comes to birthday cakes or cakes for any occasion.

Bettercreme® Whipped Icing sponsored this year’s party celebrating teacher birthdays by sending us some school color themed decorations as well as buying the birthday cakes. When you are ordering your cake from the local grocery store bakery, be sure to Ask For Whipped. Grocery stores around the country carry it, so go with the retailer who you love best. It transforms a cake from maybe a bit too sweet and heavy to light and almost airy. We were able to get our cakes for the teachers at HEB and they could even do the lettering and decorations in the Whipped Icing. The cakes looked perfect and so cute for celebrating teacher birthdays. You could tell just by looking at the cakes that the icing was not as dense as traditional buttercream.

We chose two different flavors for the inside of the cakes, so we had them do a slightly different border edge around one so that we could know the difference before cutting into them. The teachers raved over the flavor of the cakes and especially the icing since it was so light and less sugary than typical grocery store varieties. Most adults skip cake a lot of times because the sugar content is too high or they’re watching their waistlines. Skip no more! Whipped Icing is lower in sugar and calories than buttercream, and helps to give the cakes a more creamy texture and taste.

Did you know that you can get Whipped Icing in more than one flavor? Yep, you can. Just ask and see what other fantastic flavors your bakery can do like Naturally Flavored Lemon to Sea Salt Caramel. Hello Yum!! A chocolate cake with a dreamy creamy Sea Salt Caramel icing would be to die for!!

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bettercreme, the leading maker of Whipped Icing, parent company Rich Products has unveiled AskforWhipped.com, an online hub for everyone looking for the superior cake-eating experience. Check it out today for mouthwatering treats and Whipped Icing inspiration for your next celebration.

Make your next gathering special and tasty while having less sugar and fewer calories with Whipped Icing. The teachers send out a huge thank you for their birthday celebration. Such a simple idea by celebrating teacher birthdays, but a gesture that is much appreciated. My daughter’s birthday is coming up soon and now I know just what to order so that the kids and adults will be happy to eat a perfectly sweet treat.

This post was sponsored by Rich Products/Bettercreme® Whipped Icing, but all opinions are my own.
