I like most people tend to stick with the same kind of oil that we have used in the kitchen for years. Sometimes it is that we don’t know what other oils will be like, what to use them on, or their health benefits. But there are other oils out there that are loaded with more benefits than the basic of olive and coconut oil that most use. Maybe it is time to change your oil in the kitchen to Malaysian Palm Oil.
Change Your Oil
One of the big reasons to switch to palm oil like the red palm oil I was sent is that it is loaded with carotenoids and potent phytonutrients that are also found in carrots, oranges, and apricots. So while you are cooking your favorite meals that you would use oil for, substitute out palm oil to boost your nutrition. Palm oil also has a higher smoking point than most oils at 450 degrees without breaking down or degrading. This means that you can use it in the oven to make sweet potato fries or pan fry some breaded chicken cutlets.
Malaysian Palm Oil is non-GMO. In one acre of palm oil plantation, it can produce 11 times more oil than one acre of soybeans. While being beneficial to our body, it is also beneficial to our world and land. Palm oil can be substituted in any recipe that calls for oil. I was able to use it to make some of my favorite recipes like my own dressings and marinades.
One way I also used the Malaysian Palm Oil was to oil the pan that I was going to make my kid’s grilled cheese. What I did was put some of the oil in a dish and get a paper towel to oil the pan. Place the first piece of bread down, add cheese and second piece of bread. Cook until browned on both sides. You could also brush on the oil in place of buttering the bread. Easy switch and my kids were none the wiser that I had made a switch from butter.
I was sent a book with some to die for recipes that I am going to try out soon like homemade popcorn using the palm oil as a base versus other oils. Just one more step on working to change the way that my family eats by going with more clean foods and learning to make things like from scratch popcorn.
So are you ready to change your oil in the kitchen? Why not try out something that is loaded with so many benefits to your health and the world where it is grown. Check the labels on your favorite foods, because you may just see how many food brands are switching over to palm oil.
