When you are in a rental house there are only so many things you can do to really make it feel like it is your own place for while you are renting. Rarely can you paint the walls, tear up the flooring, or other things that you might do if you owned the house. The bathroom here at our new rental left a bit to be desired as far as look and functionality. But there are some easy ways to spruce up a rental house bathroom that will soon make it feel like it is your own.

Easy Ways to Spruce up a Rental House Bathroom

  • Add rugs and pretty towels. You often can change flooring or walls and most of the time rental houses are bland and beige or white walled. This makes it almost like a blank canvas where you can put in your own splashes of color or design by adding some cool rugs or pretty towels that can add some dimension to an otherwise boring room.
  • Add removable vinyl sayings. I try to make as few holes in the walls as possible when I rent so that it is less that I have to fix before we move out. Vinyl or sticker all decals are perfect for adding cute sayings to the walls of your rental house bathroom without making holes and they can be easily removed when you move out.
  • Add trinkets to the toilet room cabinet. Our landlord let us add this cabinet in the toilet room. He said as long as it is an upgrade that will stay with the house he is fine with us doing some fixes and adding storage. It has a little shelf where I put some cool candle holders and other trinkets to spruce up the look. And hey don’t forget to stock the inside of the cabinet with Scott’s ComfortPlus toilet paper. I stock up on this an other essentials on Amazon. So while I am busy unpacking, I can get everyday items I need for the house delivered in two days. We won’t be running out of toilet paper any time soon.

Don’t think you are too limited just because you are renting. You can easily spruce up a rental house bathroom with a few touches that will be easy to get and pack once you leave the rental. And don’t forget the Scott’s Comfort Plus toilet paper. You can get all kinds of sizes on Amazon right now and save $$ at the same time without leaving the house. Get $1.50 off a pack of Scott Comfort Plus and 15% + free shipping with Amazon Subscribe & Save. Make sure you enter the Nascar Sweepstakes they have going on right now to have the chance to win an all-expense paid trip to a race of your choice in 2018 or 2019!!
