No one likes to see their little one sick and feeling yucky with a cold. We have had way too many of them already this school year and I just want to get the yuckies out as quickly as I can. I wish there were ways to stop the colds before they started, but sometimes they settle in for the long haul.
Some ways to help your kids get better more quickly is to have them WASH, WASH, WASH their hands. They probably aren’t the best about washing hands at school, but when they are home just keep reminding them. Another way is to make sure they stay hydrated as much as possible while they are sick. Getting them to eat is hard, but if they at least keep their liquid intake up it will help wash the yucky germs out. And if the cold gets bad enough, there are products like Children’s Mucinex to help alleviate their symptoms and get the mucus out more easily.
We were sent some Children’s Mucinex to try out on one of our many colds that we have had, and it really helped my kids feel more like themselves a little more quickly. They were able to get back to school and feeling like themselves faster than no medicine. Nighttime can be the hardest when kids are sick with coughing and more. I just want my kids to have relief and be able to get the sleep their little bodies need to grow.
And what person doesn’t like curling up on the couch when you are sick with a warm blanket and good movie. I think that is one of the best ways to spend the day when you or your little one is sick. Get in some good bonding time and some rest 🙂
And if you have a fabulous photo of how you #BlameMucus, upload it on Facebook and tag it with #BlameMucus and 15 people will be chosen to win a gift pack of a Mucinex blanket and travel mug! Ends December 31st!
