During summer we swim a lot since it is so hot here in Texas. This reeks havoc on mine and my daughter’s hair. I have colored and bleached hair and she has lots of curls that are hard to tame. Desert Essence is a new brand that we have tested out that is now helping tame dry summer hair for both of us.
Helping Tame Dry Summer Hair
My daughter has been using the Smoothing line of Desert Essence. It is formulated with essential oils and rich in nourishing Jojoba and coconut oils, aloe, and saw palmetto, these ingredients smooth and fortify hair cuticles, and revitalize hair strands to minimize breakage. Her hair is always a chore when it comes to smoothing out her curls and getting all of the knots and tangles out. Since we have started using this shampoo and conditioner, we have both noticed that her curls have become tighter and less frizzy and so much easier to comb out after her bath.
I tried out the Anti-Breakage line of products and while I loved the help it gave my colored hair, it was a bit heavy of a product to use on a daily basis as I have super fine hair. I did love the mask which I have started using once a week to give my hair a deep conditioning type treatment as it gets so dry with the coloring and the summer sun and pool. I am notorious for pulling my hair up a lot during the summer, the Desert Essence lines have helped me protect my hair all while giving it a luxurious feel.
You can find Desert Essence online as well as at Natural Grocers and several other retailers. If you need help with dry damaged hair then look into the benefits that Desert Essence can do for you with their Biotin and Keratin infused products. Desert Essence is helping tame dry summer hair one application at a time.

I have to admit I don’t understand much about these products, but it seems really good. I’ll share this with my girls!
