Here is the US we wake up each morning, turn on the water to wash our face or make a pot of coffee, or jump into a nice hot shower. Water is not something that we have to think about very often. I know I more than take it for granted that it will be there and be clean and ready to use whenever I need it.
But in so many poor countries all over the globe, there are plenty of people who don’t have clean water and trying to get any sort of water to their houses each day can take hours and it is not guaranteed that it is clean, usable or drinkable. Many kids miss school because they have become sick from drinking water that is tainted.
WaterAid has been around since 1981 and is a leader in helping to provide clean water and proper sanitation services in many countries. Through donations they head into places where the water is laden with diseases and unsanitary conditions and help bring clean safe water to communities.
How can you help, you can either donate directly on their page. You can even set up a large fundraiser in your community or through your work. Help spread the word on all your social media channels and get the word out. You can also go to their Shop for Life page and buy a specific item like a pump to even a whole well!
