This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pep Boys for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Somehow decideing to wash my van and quickly clean it out has turned into an all afternoon project. First I detailed the inside of the van and scrubbed the many many spots out that they kids have made in the van. It is amazing how dirty a car can get!! Hubby and I then decided to tackle the outside of both of our cars, he even offered to wax our cars.
While we were washing, I noticed that one of our headlights has a yellowed and dull headlight on one side. I know we don’t have the money for someone else to do headlight restoration so I wondered how much it would be for us to do it on our own. I figured there mucst be some sort of kit out there that we could do it ourselves for a fraction of the cost.

Pep Boys has just the kit that we need. The 3M Headlight Restoration Kit is easy to use(you just need some elbow grease), saves hundreds on repairs, and can take as little as an hour to restore your headlight as well as remove haze and dullness.

With the sun setting earlier as we enter the Fall and Winter seasons and the kids still wanting to go out and play at night, it is imperative to have headlights that work properly so that you can see what is in front of you while driving in the dark. Also when Hubby leaves in the morning it is still dark out and I would hate for something to happen because his lights are too dull. Since hubby works long hours with being a restaurant manager, I have started to learn to do some household repairs myself. I think I can probably knock out this task of getting the headlight back in proper order during the kids naptime.
We may just have to see where the local Pep Boys stores are so we can get the 3M Headlight Restoration Kit. It will save us money by doing it ourself and it will give me the peace of mind knowing that our cars are functioning properly. There is also a Mail in Rebate right now, so go get your lights back to bright and shiny today !!
