I participated in a Blogger Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kidoodle.TV. I received a promotional item and a free trial as a thank you for participating.

Let’s face it, even though we adults have tablets and iPads, our kids are the ones who ultimately wind up taking over them and using them as their own personal devices. The scroll through Netflix and You Tube like they own the world. The only problem with those is that you can’t control as much what your kids watch and regulate it.

Kidoodle.TV gives you the piece of mind of being able to regulate what and how long your child can watch tv. From the get go of setting up your child’s profile on the app or website, you can set what shows they can watch by age or by specific show. There are some shows that may be age appropriate, but that I may not deem appropriate for my kids to watch. And you can change these controls at any time by going in to the Parents Room.

My son loved being able to scroll though the shows by genre and pick out his favorite episodes. Now most of the shows on Kidoodle.TV are older shows and not necessarily ones you see on everyday cable tv, but are still fun to watch. I remember watching Strawberry Shortcake when I was a kid and am so happy to be able to introduce my daughter to it. I think I may even still have some of my older figures.

The app is so easy to use and switch between users. You can have up to 5 profiles. Each child can have their page customized by color and shows. I know my daughter is not really interested in all the truck and super hero shows, so I can just turn them off so she doesn’t have to even see them in her lists.

The bright colors and easy to read pictures and text make is simple for kids to feel like they have a little freedom with what they are watching and parents can know that they are limited and protected from shows you don’t want them to watch. I also love how the app lets you set time limits on how long each child is allowed to watch tv.

Overall a really cool site and I can see us using it A LOT!!! Kidoodle.TV is having a Holiday Giveaway where you can win 1 of 10 tablets or 1 of 10 year long Kidoodle.TV subscriptions. It is free to sign up for the month of December(no credit card needed) so get started today. Subscription is normally $4.99/month. Just by signing up this month you are entered to win!! Keep up to date with Kidoodle.TV on Facebook and Twitter.
