My kids are still at the age that they will play with just about any toy. They love slime and clay and other stuff where they can shape and build and let their imaginations soar. Mad Mttr is kinetic sand that lets your child mold and shape WITHOUT the mess!!! Hello, where have you been my whole life??!! Ha. Seriously though, this stuff can be squished and molded in to all sorts of shapes and figures including bricks.
Mad Mttr- Kinetic Play Without The Mess
The kit that we got to review Play and Build Set includes the tools to make stacking bricks, but when you step on these it won’t be like something stabbing your foot!! The bricks lightly stack so your kids can make a fun colorful building or whatever their imaginations want. Unlike Play-Doh that tends to just become a jumbled mess, the Mad Mttr can be separated back out by color fairly easily so that you can keep that pink, pink and not become a rainbow blog of color.
To make the bricks there are a couple of steps and tools that are included in the kit:
- smash a hunk of Mad Mttr with the flattener
- Push down with the rectangle tool
- Put that tool on the stamper
- Press down on the Mad Mttr to form the brick
- Push out the brick and start working on the next one
The bricks stack and look at lot like Lego Bricks, but is soft and moldable. The kit also comes with a round square tool to make other short or long shapes. Bella started building her own castle for all of the tiny collectibles to play in. While I had my kids play with the Mad Mttr on a tray, it was nice to know that it just sticks to itself and not every surface that it comes in contact with. It was so easy to clean up and they can play with it over and over again. I have already added a few other colors to our Christmas wish list. You are never to old to want to create something with your hands. I think this will be a big hit this year!
