This won’t be a crazy long update, but HALF MARATHON #2 is in the books!!! It was a tough race and I was no where near ready for it as I was the first one. I will post a full update of the race later, but it was a tough race. My hip started hurting around mile 7 and had to walk most of the second half.

This just goes to show me that I need to keep up with my training. I way slacked off after I did the first half marathon and I can see in my body that I wasn’t ready for this one. My muscles were not as strong, my lungs weren’t taking in air correctly, and just overall I wasn’t ready.

I could feel the difference from the get go and had a feeling it was not going to be a good race. Lesson learned for sure!!

I am looking forward to when I can sign up for my next one and get #3 under my belt. I will definitely train for that one though 🙂

Off now to stretch and take some more tylenol. I am crazy sore today!!

Congrats! You slogged out the 2nd half which is quite a feat. I hope the hip and body heals quickly so that you can safely get on track to knock out #3.

Great for you! Half is far better than I could do, I can't stand to run. Besides you completed it, and that's really big, congrats.
gina b
<a href="http://www.mom-blog.com" rel="nofollow">mom-blog

Awesome job! Even if it was rough it is still pretty amazing you can do a 1/2. I know my 5K coming up isn't going to be fantastic but it is still an accomplishment compared to those who can't do it at all.
