After having a few weeks of only doing so-so in getting my workouts done, this last week I finally was able to step up and get in my full 3 miles almost everyday. Last week was really stressful with hubby being gone for 3 days and getting on the treadmill was my only sanity and way I could relieve tension and my little escape from the kids. Grant it, my treadmill is in the living room, so it is not really an “escape”, but at least I could put on my headphones and drown out the screaming of the kids chasing each other and destroying the house 🙂
I also did my second 5K this weekend and actually ran the whole time!! The first one I did was the Komen Race for the Cure and that one was definitely more walking than running, but the one this weekend was actually a run!! It finally got pretty cold here in Texas this last weekend and I have to say I wasn’t really prepared clothing wise to run outside. Not being used to running outside, and running in the cold, I actually did pretty good time wise. I can’t remember the exact time, but I know it was 38 minutes + some seconds. I normally run that distance in 45 minutes on the treadmill. It could have been that I was so cold that I just wanted to finish.. haha
I have not being doing very good on the eating front. When hubby is away and I get overly stressed, then I tend to forget to eat or eat badly. In turn I wind up feeling pretty crappy… One of these days I will learn!!
To step it up even more, I have decided to join the Mamavation #2weekchallenge!! It is a series of workouts that I will be doing over the next two weeks and hopefully shedding some more of this baby weight!!! Wish me luck in getting through all the push ups, lateral raises and burpees!!! Never knew what a burpee was, but I am sure I will grow to hate it.. haha J/K I really am ready to get some new exercises in.
