Mamavation Monday- Taking a Little Break

I didn’t update last week, because to be honest there is really not much to update as far as working out, etc. The only runs I have gotten in since my last half marathon have been a once a week early run with a friend. It is the only motivation I have mustered to get up and run. I am a little disappointed in myself, but life has been so crazy busy the last couple of weeks that the last thing I want to do is add in one more activity.

I love how running makes me feel and need to somehow get back to that. I have been feeling more sluggish and don’t have the energy to barely get through the day.

I will get back, I am making that promise to myself. I wish I had a big race scheduled so that I could have that goal to work towards. When I don’t have a goal, it is so easy to just let go and stop running. The next month is shaping up to be just as busy with the last month of school. My one goal I am going to make is to run at least twice a week and if more runs happen than that will make me happy.

Hope you all are doing well and progressing in your journey to a healthier life. We all have our setbacks, but we can push out of them if we can just find the strength that is already in us. I am not going to let this little step back derail me. I am just going to take the break that I probably needed and restart fresh and slow.

We all need breaks. Most times we come back stronger, so I am glad you are giving yourself some time. Hugs

Hey you know what… the one run a week is better than me… You will get back into your running groove before you know it. Especially with the summer coming up. Hugs

AHHH!!!! Yes, yes, yes! I get it, I hear you. I feel the same way. I need another race soon, even if it is a virtual run. Must get a goal on the board! Thanks for the reminder.

I'm having the same issue with my running, just haven't been really motivated to do it…… but I, too, love who I feel afterwards. Gotta get myself going on it!

Taking a break is definitely ok and something we all must do every once in a while. And now that you've set your goal of running twice a week, you're on your way to a fresh start.
