I will confess that I love to watch cooking shows and a few years ago, Take Home Chef with Curtis Stone was one of my favorites. I mean who wouldn’t want a handsome chef to come to their home and cook dinner and surprise their hubby with a wonderful meal?! When I heard that he was going to make a stop near Houston, I jumped at the chance to go. And thanks to Tanger Outlets, I was invited to go see Curtis Stone.

I had heard of Tanger Outlets opening not too long back, but have yet to have the time to make it down there to see it. Though it is a bit of a drive from me, the experience of being down there was well worth the drive. It was so clean and pleasant to walk around, but more on that in a minute. I just have to talk some about Curtis πŸ™‚

Curtis graced the stage with his ever glowing smile. He shared with us 4 recipes out of his new book “What’s for Dinner?: Delicious Recipes for a Busy Life” where he has the book broken down into chapters based on days of the week and what you might want to cook on those days. I think my favorite will be the One Pot Wednesday and the Five Ingredient Fridays.

He of course got some of the audience involved in cooking and making drinks, which was fun. Curtis kept us laughing and the hour went by way too fast. After the cooking session, we were able to get him to sign our cookbooks. (A little confession) I was completely start struck when I actually stood next to him and could barely get a hello out πŸ™‚ He is pretty dreamy πŸ™‚

We then took some time to walk around the outlet and browsed some of the stores. We may have gotten sucked in by The Disney Store and The Childrens Place, but hey I scored some super cute pink polka dot shoes from the Childrens Place that actually fit me for only $9.99!! I liked that they had a variety of stores form kids stuff, althetic stores as well as some of the high end stores. I love shopping at outlet malls and it was nice to go to one that was so clean and welcoming.

Thanks to Tanger Outlets for inviting me and my girlfriends for a fun day out! It was so fun to meet Curtis and see him cook and get his new cookbook. I can’t wait to try out some recipes.
