Well, back from vacation. It was a good time with thirty relatives spending time together in the ocean at South Padre Island. I didn’t stick to the program as well as I should have for the better part of one week. All is not lost, as I only gained a pound. While it was a minor set-back, I’m not overly upset. The last two weeks have been spent moving into our new house and spending 5 days with family. Since I’ve spent the better part of the time painting, re-placing missing door knobs, weather stripping, changing out fixtures… I have gotten in plenty of movement and exercise.
Funny thing is that now that I’m back to work and in the swing of things, I’m not having any issues getting back to the Nutrisystem diet. The food as always is pretty good, I enjoy my morning protein shake every day, and I’m eating fresh fruit and incorporating new items into my salads and snacks. Once I get back on the bike and start riding again, I’m positive the pounds will start to shed once again. As consistent as my weight loss had been before my vacation, I’m eager to start losing even more.
Here’s the plan for the next two weeks. 1) Increase workout time by about 25%, 2) Cut back on the amount of calories by 10%, 3) Spend more time playing with the kids. Pretty simple really, but you gotta have a plan, right?
