I know, I know… I have missed 2 weeks of checking in. I do have a fairly good reason.. Well, mostly. First of all, we finally closed on our very first house. So we are now officially homeowners. We closed only 4 days before we had to move out of our rental house so the rest of that week was spent packing and moving. Then two days after moving in, we had a preplanned big family vacation that we take every other year with my husband’s family. So I had almost two weeks with very limited internet access.
So how did I do on my Nutrisystem plan during this time????
Well, to be honest the “plan” kind of went out the window for the most part. I just didn’t have time to sit and cook and we were trying to pack as much of our stuff as quickly as possible. We wound up ordering out for most of our meals for quite a few days while moving. I was conscious at least of what I was eating and my portion sizes. Thanks to not sitting down much, I got in more exercise than I have in awhile.
During vacation, I took my protein powder for breakfast and made fruit/veg protein smoothies for breakfast each morning to keep myself on track in the mornings. I did my best to watch portions and not over-induldge in the snacky foods that everyone and their kids had brought. I did take it a bit more easy when it came to the exercise and moving around since I was pretty tired from the move.
With now being back home for almost a week, I have been doing my best to get back on track. Watch what I eat and keep up with my plan so that I am not getting hungry and snacking on random junk. I have been moving around a lot unpacking boxes and going up and down our new stairs TONS!!! One good thing about this new house is the stairs, so I have a built in exercise place if I really want to do it!
I really need to get back and focused on my water though. That is one thing that has truly slacked during the last few weeks and I am not feeling as good as a side effect. I think if I get my water back on track, it will help me not want to randomly snack on things I shouldn’t be.
I checked this morning and I am at 140.6 pounds. The last two days I was at 140.2, but I kinds ate a lot yesterday. So I have a total loss of 6.6 pounds. Still a slow creeping down, but at least it is down. I am just glad that I didn’t gain any weight over the last two weeks.
Time to get refocused and also to add in more exercise!!!
