Our last full day in Destin, Fl started out rainy. We were pretty tired from all the traveling, going to the beach, then a day at Big Kahuna’s Water Park, so the rainy morning was a good break for us. A friend of ours had told us that there was a bowling alley nearby. the kids had never been bowling, so it would be a fun new experience for the whole family and perfect indoor fun.
My husband set up our names then we got to bowling. What was cool is that the bumpers went up and down depending upon who was bowling. So even though mommy and daddy could have used the bumpers, they weren’t up the whole time. Little Miss was only interested in playing for a short time since the ball was a little heavy for her to lift and throw properly, but mommy helped her get a few spares and strikes π I wound up winning both games..haha
The weather started to clear later in the afternoon, but my son started to run a fever. My husband stayed with him while my daughter and I spent a few hours at the pool. Since it was a smaller complex that we stayed in, but that did have several pools, we had it to ourselves most of the time.
I wish we had one more day to go to the beach, but we were going to be leaving early the next morning to head to my extended family in Arkansas for my cousins wedding. Overall we had a lot of fun in Destin and though the drive is a bit far for us, it was still within reason and we enjoyed all there was to do there.
We spent the next couple of days with my family exploring the mountain where my Aunt lives, going to a wedding, then just some good family conversation and memories. I love going to Arkansas and we sure don’t get there nearly as often as I would like π
