I am so happy to get back to baking after surgery and chemo/radiation. It warms my heart, my house, and my belly π One thing I don’t like that much about baking is my treats sticking to the pans that I bake them in. I also don’t always like using cooking sprays because they just seems so chemical and yucky. I am trying to take my baking and cooking to a healthier level and I want my cooking spray to come there too.
Pompeian has come out with a Grapeseed Oil cooking spray the answer I have been looking for to use with my baking. What is so great about grapeseed oil? It is rich in Vitamin E and antioxidants. It has a high smoke point which is great for stir fry. But what I like most of all is the new design of the dispenser. There are no propellants!!
So how does it work. Well, I have to say pretty well. I baked a couple of pies and those can be notorious for sticking to the pie plate and the crust breaking all apart. I sprayed the pie plate before I put the crust in and the crust lifted right out of the pan when I cut it. Ahhhhh, this is music to my baking ears! And it was a gluten free crust at that.
I have used it not only in baking, but when I have been cooking as well. The spray nozzle is a little different so you do have to watch out that you don’t spray your kitchen down like I did a couple of times. HAHA
Overall, I really like using the Pompeian Grapeseed Oil Natural Cooking Spray. It is a light spray that doesn’t have leave any weird aftertastes on your food. Pompeian wants to give you a $1.00 off coupon to try the Grapeseed Oil spray for yourself! Then go take a survey and you could possibly win $200!!!
