Being a blogger I am on my phone a lot. Most of the time at events it is required of me to tweet, send pictures, and be “social” on social media. This can be a huge drain on your phones battery and you can’t just go plug your phone into a wall socket and sit until it gets powered back up. There are tons of little chargers on the market, but sometimes you need to pull out the big guns especially when you are on a long trip or spending long hours at an event like NAIAS. No really, days. When I went to NAIAS in January the only charger I had with me was the Anker Astro which is super heavy duty battery backup. I exclusively used this battery day and night to charge my phone and tablet for the three days I was there. No wall charger needed!! It does take this battery backup quite awhile to be fully charged, but like I said it will last for days. Most of the smaller backups will only charge your phone once maybe twice if you are lucky. If you are one of those who travels a lot and has lots of technology that needs the battery juice then I highly recommend the Anker Astro E7.
I have a little tip for you when traveling: get a USB plug that has at least one Android plug and one iPhone plug so that you can charge your battery backup then charge your iPhone and only have one cable to take with you. Anker does offer smaller charging devices if you don’t want to carry around the big guns. Seriously this thing is like a weapon it is so heavy, but worth it when you need the battery juice for a long trip. It is reasonably priced on Amazon. I have now found my device that keeps me powered up to be social for those long social media days. Hey it is even great for long road trips with kids if they have all kinds of tablets and not enough plugs in your vehicle!!
