We don’t have cable at our house currently. We got rid of it a couple of years ago to save money. While we do not miss some stations, there are some that we do especially me since I am home more. Food Network used to always be my background noise while I cleaned the house or wrote a blog post. While we do have plenty to watch on our ROKU with Amazon, Netflix, and HULU we were really hoping to get some of our other favorite back.
SlingTV is a monthly subscription option that can be used on several of the streaming platforms like the ROKU that we have. It is $20/month which is not too bad considering the channels that you can get AND they are live streaming. No waiting until the next day to have to watch a show when you see all you friends talking about it on social media!! Some of our favorites that we can now watch again are Food Network, HGTV, ESPN, Travel, and many more that make it worth the monthly extra cost.
One of the features I like the most about SlingTV is that as you scroll through the channels, you can see what is currently playing as well as what is coming up next. It is as close to cable as you can get without paying the high cable prices. My husband is pretty happy to have his sports channels back. If you like HBO you can add on that package as well. Love this!!
Take a look at their savings on devices when you prepay three months of service!!
