Last week I started the series toys we love this week. This is our way of showing you toy reviews and give you ideas on what you might want to get your own kids for Christmas this coming year. This week we had some fun with RubbaDuks, IQ Fit, a Unicorn Popper, and Zing Firetek Zeon Bow. I mean having a unicorn that pops rainbow balls out if its mouth.. Who wouldn’t love that… haha
RubbaDucks are your classic rubber duckies taken to a new level with different characters. From Ducklet to Digger to even a wedding pair Mr. and Mrs. Duckbells. These rubber ducks are so fun and whimsical. Bath time play toys that bring out a whole new play theme and imaginative stories. A duck that is also a partial pig. Whee do they come up with these things 🙂

The IQ Fit from Smart Games is a 3D puzzle game where you can follow different patterns laid out in the included book then you must figure out where the rest of the pieces go. There are several levels of play and I will admit that the higher they go the harder they can be. Surprisingly enough my 5 year old took a big liking to the game. She plays something similar on one of her iPad games so she started playing the IQ Fit all on her own. One afternoon she went through over 40 of the levels all on her own. Amazing to see my kids play with something that actually challenges their brains and they have fun while doing it. It is a great travel game as well so one more way that I can keep them occupied on a road trip. We may just have to get a second one! My readers can get 10% off o discount on IQ Fit or any other Smart Toys and Games product by using the discount code SweetSte at checkout. Important: the items must be purchased at the company’s Amazon store in order to get the discount.

I received one of the mini keychain Unicorn Poppers in the BBNYC Sweet Suite box and my daughter just loved it. She squealed when she saw that there was a bigger version. You insert one of the rainbow soft balls into the unicorns mouth and squeeze its’ belly to pop the ball out. It is cute and colorful. I like that it doesn’t hurt anyone since the rainbow balls are really soft. I will say it is a good stress reliever for mommy 🙂
The Zing Firetek Zeon Bow has been a full family favorite. Now I am not always a fan of things that shoot arrow or shoot anything for that matter, but I have to say that I actually really like the Zeon bow. For one the tip of the “arrows” do not hurt. They are made of a soft material that sticks slightly when it is shot, but falls quickly. As much as my kids have been aiming at my high ceilings, I don’t have to constantly go pluck the arrows off the wall. This helps keep the play going and it saves my sanity. What is even cooler is that all the arrows glow. They turn on with a switch so you can even practice your archery skills in the dark.

We have openings that are in our upstairs playroom so the kids have been using the Zeon Bow to shoot upstairs. Bonus is the kids have to run up and down the stairs to get their toys back. Anything that wears them out.. go right ahead kids.

So that is what we have been playing with this past week. A little fun and whimsy and a little brain booster. I will bring you some more toys next week 🙂 Stay tuned!

The archery stuff needs to come to Nonna’s for a sleepover!
