Two weeks now I have brought you some of our favorite toys that my kids are playing with that week. I know my kids are sure enjoying this and I love being able to show you new and upcoming toys. This week was all about building, stacking, and falling. If you haven’t guessed already I am talking about Jenga, but not just any Jenga… Jenga Giant!!! They have taken the classic game of stacking wooden block to a whole new height literally.

The new game stacks to be just over 21″ tall when you first start out. It can then stack to over 4 feet high if you are careful. It took some explaining to my kids which blocks they should take out and how they could stack them on the top. But soon enough they were pros. Every once in a while they would take a block from a pretty precarious place and the whole stack would come falling down. We have laminate floors so when the blocks fell it was so loud!!

The kids has an absolute blast and the beauty of it is that adults can join in as well when the blocks get too tall. It is a game of strategy as well as precision. I loved seeing my kids faces when they weren’t sure if they should take a certain block. It was a way for our family to work together and see just how high we could get the stack to go before falling. Bonus to Jenga Giant is that my kids can also use them as building blocks to make all kinds of fun structures and buildings. One of the nights they took the blocks and made houses for their stuffed animals.

This would be a great party game as well since it is so much larger than the original and more people could be involved. You could also make it a competition between the original version and the giant version to see which team lasts the longest!

The Jenga Giant is now available as of August and retails for around $100+. Being that it is made of real hardwood then the cost is something I would be willing to pay. Get one for your next family game night or school.

Come back next week as we share more of the toys we love 🙂
