Trying to Get Better and Still the Pain

As you can see by the lack of posts this week that it has been another one of those weeks. My pain has spiked again and it has been hard to sit down and focus to write here on the blog and to get reviews done. I have a couple that I am hoping to get done over the weekend that I am sure you will enjoy.

I have a feeling it has been a combination of several factors that has made the pain spike again. I am getting over a cold and I think coming off of the cold medicine has messed with me. The weather has been so up and down here and after this winter I realize that the weather affects me more and more. It also feels like my hormones have gone a bit crazy this week. My face has been flushing and just other weird things. I have done decently well with my eating, but really think that I need to eliminate more things to really get back to clean eating.

I have gotten a couple of runs in including my longest to date of 8 miles on monday!!! Then on wednesday I joined up with some other local ladies to run at 5 am… I like having someone to run with, but being up that early then trying to get things done the rest of the day and last until bedtime was tough!!! I am going to try for at least once a week to run with this group. I don’t think my body can handle much more than that of getting up way early. So for the rest of the days I will stick to my treadmill or outside when hubby is home to watch the kids.

I am getting more and more frustrated with all of this. I have finally gotten a number for a rheumatologist. So I plan on calling soon to get an appointment and rule out or found out what exactly is going wrong with me. Everything I have read online shows me that it is Fibromyalgia, everything I have read describes me perfectly. My only thing with finally going to a doctor is that I don’t want to be put on 100 medicines to help control whatever it is that is going on. Fibro can’t be cured unfortunately. It can be managed and I prefer to manage it with diet and exercise.

If you have any tips or have experienced anything like what I have been through I would love your advice. I have my good days and bad days, but  most days it is a combo of both! I would just like to feel a little more normal and not hurt quite so much!!!
