What Are You Doing to Plan for the Future?

I have to admit, finances and financial planning gives me an absolute headache! I do my best to stay on top of our bills and to watch our spending, but I know I am not always the best at it and our money gets low, our credit card debt gets higher and we seem to be in a never ending cycle. And forget about having money set aside for the future yet… We are just trying to make it through next week most times.

Just last month we had a big scare because bonuses didn’t come through on schedule and though I was actually being better at controlling our spending, we still over-drafted our account. When that happens, I feel like a failure at keeping our family going and the stress just seems to pile up. Money and finances can be overwhelming!!!

MassMutual is a leader in helping families stay on track when it comes to planning for your families future and being better at controlling your finances. They want to give all of us moms and dads the tools we need to take control of the money and even be able to save for our kids college and our own retirement. Believe me, I don’t want to have to work every last day of my life. I would like to be able to enjoy my later years with my family and I also want to be able to provide my kids with the best college education that I can.

If you are struggling a bit with planning, then try out the quiz from MassMutual and see how you can start changing your financial future.

My goal for this year is to really get our family debt paid down and hopefully start putting money back in our savings account!!

What our your goals for this year financially? Do you want to pay down debt? Save for a new car? Buy a house? What are you going to do to reach those goals?

I wrote this post as participation in a blog tour for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of MassMutual and received compensation in the form of an Amazon Gift Code to thank me for taking the time to participate.
