It has been raining a LOT here in Texas the past couple of weeks. So what does that mean? Lots of indoor time with the kiddos absolutely couped up with too much energy to spare. It is not always easy to keep them entertained constantly, but one thing they do love is forts!! You can get so creative with forts, so I want to share with you my ways to make the best forts and throw in some fun snacks with Pop Secret Popcorn.
Step one is to take some chairs and a small table and make a circle out of them. This gives you a good base and height to build off of so the fort can have several levels. We have a small table from IKEA that is a perfect for one fort.

Step two is to is to gather some sheets and light blankets to drape over the tables and chairs.

Step three is gather some pillows for the kids to lay on while they are lounging under their fort.

Lastly, make some Pop Secret popcorn and set out a bowl of that along with some fruit and your child’s favorite drink. My kids love this so that they can have a treat and not have to sit at the table where they usually have to eat. After all we only live once, so having too many rules can wear on us all π
Really it is that simple to set up a fun fort for you and your kids as well as enjoy a yummy snack on a rainy day. If you can set it up near a TV then it makes it even more fun to watch a movie from or turn out all of the lights and give them flashlights to make shadow puppets.
What do you do to make special memories with your kids and make those rainy days that much more fun? Do you have any other snack ideas besides Pop Secret popcorn and fruit?

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Pop Secret. I loved being able to show how we make rainy days just that much more fun with a fort!.
So cute!! We love making forts here, too! π
Forts are so much fun. I am thinking of a few more configurations here at our house. This one was at grandparents house π
