The Slinky is an iconic toy that I am sure all of us have had at one time or another. Now I get to see my kids play with them. After 75 years, Slinky is a toy that despite the increase in technological toys, we always seem to come back to simple hands on toys that are versatile and so much fun. It is a unique design that can come in all colors as well as the classic metal one.
Alex Brands has some new ways for you to use the Slinky coming out very soon including racing cars down it. I can’t wait to share more on the Slinky Racers when they are available. It will be a fun new ways to use a Slinky than just seeing it go down stairs.
A few fun facts about Slinky:
- During the Vietnam War: U.S. soldiers used Slinkys as mobile radio antennas.
- Each Slinky is made from 80 feet of wire which folds up in 10 seconds
- The Slinky song is the longest running jingle in advertising history.
