This post is sponsored on behalf of Crayola. Go Thank a Teacher in your life today!
We are counting down the days to the end of summer and thinking about all of our teacher friends who are gearing up to get back into the school groove as well within the next week. What we don’t often realize is that they go back to work a few weeks earlier getting ready for our kids and the upcoming school. They are going to seminars, sprucing up their classrooms, buying supplies and books, and so much more.
Crayola wants us to take a few moments and thanks the teachers in our kids’ lives by writing a thank you card so that they can see just how much we really appreciate their hard work and dedication to teaching our kids. Crayola is a trusted brand that makes so many supplies that our teachers use year in and year out. I know I have a few teachers that my kids have had and even some when I was in school that I should thank.
You may have seen while out school shopping the Thank A Teacher campaign promoted on items including 24 ct. crayons, 10 ct. Classic Broad Line and Fine Line Markers, 12 ct Colored Pencils and more. Families are encouraged to create a thank you card for a special teacher in their world and upload to www.Crayola.com/ThankATeacher for a chance to win grand prizes for their family, teacher and school!
Ten grand prize packs will be awarded, inclusive of:
- $10,000 classroom makeover for the teacher
- One year supply of Crayola products for the school
- $1,000 scholarship for the student
- $1,000 gift card for both the teacher and school
- Free CreatEd seminar for the school
In addition to the grand prizes, one lucky entrant will have his or her thank you note featured on a special pack of Crayola crayons this holiday. In addition, a weekly sweepstakes will run concurrently with the contest, offering entrants a chance to win $500 gift cards for themselves and their teachers. The contest and sweepstakes will run through August 25, 2018.
Just look at the sweet notes that my kids wrote to their teachers from last year. They plan on giving them to their teachers when we go for meet the teacher night! I love their sweet hearts and just to see how far they have come in their sentence structure. I also love seeing just what they learned and took away from the previous year.
As you gear up for back to school, make sure you pick up some extra supplies for the teachers too to replenish their closets. There are plenty of times when my kids have run out of pencils or crayons or glue and the teachers have always had some to share. It is the least we can do when they help nourish the minds of our kids and prepare them.
