Do More than Spring Cleaning this Year- Start Healthing

Spring is in the air, especially here in Texas. The pollen has been covering everything, plants are starting to bloom and the weather is warming. I always get the urge after winter to really get to cleaning and ridding the house of unwanted clutter and dust. I like to start Spring off clean and newly organized.

But something else we should consider is not only making our spaces clean, but our bodies as well. Lysol has come out with a fabulous word called “Healthing“. They want us to adopt a healthier lifestyle overall and not just clean out our closets.

We need to learn the difference between just cleaning/organizing and truly killing bacteria and other things that can make our families sick. The healthier we stay, the better we will feel and the more we can accomplish. I know I use my Lysol spray on everything!!! When we take the trash out, we spray the can and lid to get rid of the germs and icky. As the kids are done with dinner, I spray the table down. I also spray the kids backpacks after they come home from school, there is no telling what all they can come home with from preschool.

Lysol has some great tips on how to make Spring Cleaning go smoothly and to make sure you are Healthing as well as cleaning. My favorites were: Start with the basics then work on the nooks and crannies, use Lysol wipes while you are wiping down surfaces so that you disinfect as well as clean, and get the family involved( little hands can help!).

Lysol has also partnered with Guiliana Rancic to visit some YMCAs to bring the message of Healthing and show what people can do to better clean their lives as a whole. There will be hands on education about products and steps to improve hygiene habits in your own home.

So what is one thing you are going to change to make sure you are not just cleaning but really “Healthing”?

Visit Lysol Facebook or Lysol Guidebook to learn more and get tips!

I participated in this campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Lysol. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
