My kids can make a few things in the kitchen on their own, but I would love if they would start learning how to cook more foods. Raddish Kids is a subscription service that we got to test out to get my kids more interested in cooking. Now I won’t say that they became master chefs, but they did try new foods and new techniques.

The kit comes with one new kitchen tool in each box, this month we got a grater. This one is fairly kid safe and not very sharp so it is the perfect learning tool. Raddish Kids also send several recipes that are laminated so that you can use them over and over again, and they are wipeable for all those spills that are bound to happen. The kit comes with other supplements like a dice game this months, and some conversation cards that can be put on a ring and brought out whenever everyone sits down to dinner. The cards help spark conversation at the end of the day to get to know your family more. And bonus the kids get a patch each month to help them remember the skills they have learned.

For this month’s box we made chicken parmesan, garlicky green beans, then caramel and chocolate fondue. The kids of course preferred the dessert portion, but they did actually eat the chicken and a few green beans. It is amazing how they are mor willing to eat and try new things when it is something they have made themselves. I have got to get my son to get past eating mostly pizza or PB&J everyday.

You can sign up for just one month or a year long subscription. Whatever works best for your family. We are getting back to being really busy so we have less time to be in the kitchen, but since this is just once a month that we need to set time aside and cook together, it is a good investment in not only family time, but getting your kids to want to learn about new places and new foods each month. It sparks learning and education on many levels.

I can’t wait to sign up for more Raddish Kids kits: http://gofyi.ly/9DDD31E7
