Here we are… 2015.. Wow! Happy New Year 2015!!!

Seriously 2014 has absolutely flown by and we are already several days in to the new year…I am excited though. I am actually wanting to have goals, plan them out, and accomplish them. I have many for this year as well as my word of the year: Simplify. I actually want to make things happen this year on so many levels. I can’t wait to bring in new!

Happy New Year 2015

So how did we ring in our new year? Well besides falling asleep by 10:30..What?? I have two kids, I don’t like to stay up late and I had a race the next morning 🙂

We didn’t do anything over the top since we were staying home. Hubby had to work that day as well as go back for inventory that night so we rarely make plans for New Years Eve. After the Christmas holiday being so busy I was happy to have a relatively quiet evening, minus the fireworks that our neighbors illegally set off for a couple of hours…

Happy New Year

We lit a fire in our firepit..Or more like we tried to light a fire. There is something about this firepit that for some reason the wood barely catches. Could just be us.. or the pit.. or us.. haha

New Year Smore

But we were able to get just enough flames going to stuff our faces with some toasty marshmallows and chocolate. You will notice that i didn’t say graham crackers, because the kids had finished them off and didn’t tell me. Oh well. Momma’s fave part is the marshmallows anyway.

New Year Bella Sparkler

We then let the kids play with some sparklers. I wasn’t overly impressed with them because they burned out way too fast and one of the colors was super smoky. The kids had fun though and we know for next year to find longer ones 🙂

I hope your new year is off to a great start. Wishing you a prosperous and blessed new year from our family and I can’t wait to see what 2015 holds in store or us all!
