It’s a new year and many make a commitment to a healthier you in this new year, but it is often hard as a busy mom to stay on track with a diet plan when you have kids. I mean I know I would like to eat some Lucky Charms from time to time, but know that I shouldn’t. I want to share some of my new finds for healthy foods to keep you on track for that healthier you in the new year.
Healthy Foods to Keep You on Track
- Munk Pack– Breakfast and snack time are probably the hardest times for me to stay on track with my eating. In the mornings I just want a quick breakfast that will help get me out of the door. And when it comes to snack time, I crave all the wrong things. Munk Pack is a brand of snacks that is delicious with simple ingredients and very allergen friendly. They are plant based with no gluten, soy, dairy, eggs, and nothing artificial. What first caught my eye about Munk Pack was their portable oatmeal fruit squeeze pouches.
These are actually perfect for breakfast. I kept them in the fridge so they are like the overnight oats without the work! I can pull one out and I get fruit and oatmeal in an easy to squeeze pouch. Or I can throw one in my bag for later in the day as a snack. Their protein cookies are loaded with good stuff that can satisfy that sweet tooth you may have and you get the added benefit of a protein boost.
Have someone in your life that you want to try out Munk Pack? They have gift sets that are perfect for the adventure friend. I am going to stock up on the oatmeal fruit squeezes for those long hours by the soccer field! Buy Munk Pack on Amazon or their website.
- Metta– Are you feeling like you are dragging most days? I think that is most of us. Metta is a drink that is built around adaptogenic herbs. It is a blend of fruit juices with an herbal blend that provides a different kind of energy. Rather than being loaded with caffeine, Metta has ingredients that works with your body to help it perform better mentally and physically. They call it a natural awareness beverage. It is lightly sweet with only 25 calories and I love that you don’t get that spike and crash that comes with most other beverages loaded with caffeine. Buy Metta on Amazon.
- Reveri– There are times when I just crave some ice cream, but don’t want the dairy and extra sugars that most ice cream has. Reveri is a plant based frozen dessert that will give you that satisfaction of a cold treat without undoing your diet plan. At just 90 calories per serving you can indulge in this special new treat and know you are fueling yourself with a blend of vegetables and fruits. Water, dates, and tapioca fiber are the beginning base of their variety of flavors that are then blended with other fruits, veggies, and nuts to create a new frozen experience.
I like to take the Reveri and use it in my morning smoothies to give more fruits power to my morning. The Vanilla Almond Blossom and Strawberry patch were by far my favorite! I love that there is no added sugars, dairy, or other things so we can all feel good about eating it.
