We all have it… That occasional or maybe even everyday reflux, not so great feeling, or yucky tummy feeling after we eat or drink things that we know we probably should not be having. I know I am bad about it, but at the same time don’t like taking many medicines to help out with it.
I was sent some tubes of Gutsy Chewy to test out and maybe even find a solution to those tummy issues. They are gluten and lactose free, vegan friendly products that you can take for that uneasy, queasy feeling you can get after eating food.
The Gutsy proprietary formula contains a special combination of papaya, apple cider vinegar and licorice root, known as GiGs®. The products also contain Xylitol, plus minerals like calcium and magnesium.
Now I will tell you. I was pleasantly surprised how well they work. I am not supposed to really eat gluten containing foods because they cause me to get bloated, congested, and many other symptoms..But I will fully admit that I cheat… probably too much. I love food and baked treats and it is just so hard to resist them all of the time. So one of the last times I did, I took a Gutsy Chewy afterward. Not long after, I didn’t feel like I was going to be completely sick. Now I won’t call it a cure all, but it at least helped with some of the yucky feeling I had after eating foods I shouldn’t have.
I will say that they do take some time to get used to the flavor. I am not a big fan of licorice or ACV, so that made them a little hard to get down taste wise, but the benefit that these chews gave outweighs the flavor component. Also I am fairly picky when it comes to flavors so others may like it more than I did.
