Now that on the wall TV’s are a big thing, once you get the TV set up you are then left with those pesky cords hanging down and stretching to the wall outlets and power boxes. It is nice not to have to worry about the TV stand being huge to support the TV but I hate the look of the cords. Hde those cords with this Legrand In Wall Cord and Power Cable kit that you can get at Best Buy. What this kit does is makes two holes in your wall that you can thread your power and cable cords into so that they go down behind your wall versus in front of your wall.

Admittedly I was a little skeptical of putting huge holes in my walls to make this kit work, but after seeing the finished look.. oh yeah! The finishes look of no cords running down my wall is enough to convince me to share this kit with you. The biggest thing with this kit is finding a place up top to hide the first hole behind the TV and also not hitting a stud to make the hole. You will need the wall space behind to be able to thread the power/cable cords down the wall. Both holes will have to be in between the same stud so keep that in mind as well when you place your second one closer to the bottom of the wall.

The kit comes with a hole guide and tool to cut the hole. My husband wound up connecting his drill to the cutting piece as the handle that was provided didn’t grip well enough. With the drill attached, the holes were made quickly and perfectly. Our TV has one of those bulky power boxes on the cord so we ziptied the connections to the box to make sure that once we put it in the wall, it didn’t come loose. It is fairly easy to loosen the cap for the hole to get the cords back out so do not worry that you won’t ever be able to change the cords/tv out once you make these holes.

We have to keep our TV on a certain wall upstairs, so now no matter what TV we have for up there we can hide the cords while still having a wall mounted TV system. Pretty amazing that this simple kit that you can pick up at Best Buy helps hide those cords to make a more streamlined look to your space. Pick up one today to kids those cords forever!
