When I signed up to do the Mamavation 2 Week Challenge, I really didn’t think I would make it through. So far all I have done as far as working out has been walking/running on the treadmill. I was willing to try something new and hopefully work some other parts of my body out that really could use some help.
I, of course, went with the beginners workout and even that was pretty tough. Whoever though of Burpees must be INSANE!! Those were by far the hardest thing for me to do. I am just not that coordinated!! But after 2 weeks, I am happy to say that I completed it all and even threw in some running on top of it. I haven’t really seen any weightloss from it which kinda bums me out, but I can tell I am a little stronger. Hopefully I can keep doing the workouts and increase the weights I use and see more progress.
I am pretty bummed that I haven’t seen more change weight wise. Since I have started I have only lost about 5 pounds. I have had a change in my actual size and can now fit in to my size 10 jeans. Well, one of them… Why is it that the place you most want to lose weight and inches seems to be the last place to go??
One accomplishment that I am pretty proud of this week, was joining in with some of the other Mamavation ladies in a #squatday challenge on Friday. Throughout the day we tried to do as many squats as our bodies would allow us. I was shocked that I actually pushed myself to to 1300!!! Only bad thing is that I am still paying for it 2 days later with some major soreness.. HAHA
This week we were asked this question from Omron to answer: What kind of activities have you done with your pedometer on?
Since I don’t have a pedometer, I will answer it in a different way of- what kind of activities would I do if I had one? I would love to see on a day to day basis how much I am/am not walking. Yes I get one the treadmill, but would like to know how much I walk in a whole day.
We also went to the Renaissance Festival today with the kids. It would be cool to see how much walking you get in by going to different festivals and other outdoor activities.
This post is sponsored by Omron and I’m writing this to be entered into a giveaway hosted by Mamavation – a community dedicated to obesity prevention & weight loss for women

Great job with the 2 Week Challenge and Squat Day! Don't worry about what the scale says, how you feel is more important!
Awesome job finishing both the 2 week challenge AND squat day! 1300!!! Wow!
As for burpees, I agree with you my friend! Ugh! But it's good to spice things up a bit I guess. :)

Don't be too hard on yourself about the weight loss. To me, it is about being healthy. Working out keeps you healthy, AND the addition of weights for toning increases your metabolism and helps with
You are so right about burpees… whoever thought of them needs to be punished!

And I wouldn't worry too much about the weight loss. The bigger factor is the loss of inches – and it sounds like that's happening… so yay!
Way to go on the challenge.
I am too chicken to try it (or commit to it?)
Have another awesome active week
