Well, it has been another one of those weeks. Absolutely no working out has been done, other than housework…I am still overwhelmed with stress and Saturday’s events kinda put me over the edge.
I have been doing my best to at least somewhat stay on track with eating, but even that I really don’t care about right now either. Thankfully I have not gained any weight. I am only 2 pounds from my pre-baby #2 weight. I hope to lose another 10 pounds by summer. We have a family reunion with hubs family and I want to feel comfortable again in a swimsuit. The kids will be older this vacation and I want to go swimming and play with them and not worry about how I look.
I am hoping to get back on track soon. I have good intentions of getting back on the treadmill, but for some reason I can’t even get myself to put on my workout clothes and even attempt a walk. What can I do to get myself motivated again????
Time to get focused, for real!!!!
You can do this. Get back on track and get to it. How about sleeping in your workout clothes to get motivated in the morning. just an idea.
My advice is to just get on the treadmill for 5 minutes. I bet that you will feel great and want to go even longer!
Everybody has an off week or several -heck, I had a couple of "off" months. You'll find your inspiration/groove soon, I'm sure. And until you do, remember, we're still here, cheering you on!
I hope you have a better week, but not gaining is a pretty huge deal. That means you're doing something right.
I agree with Lolo, just do it! Setting a goal of 5 minutes on the treadmill isn't too scary and once you're on you will realize it's not as bad as you're making it out to be!! A nice fast paced walk might even be good for your stress. Hang in there!!
I know when I am having a off day and just do not want to do anything but that I still need to exercise I put on some upbeat music and my son and I dance around the house as weclean which is exercising in a way.
You can do it!! Signing up for a 5K (walk or run, whichever floats your boat) is a great motivator because you've made an investment-commitment. I'm also rather motivated by a new pair of running shoes or athletic gear, personally.
