This last week was Thanksgiving Week and was a great time to sit back and reflect on all I am thankful for and to see where I want to go with my journey of working out.
The past two weeks I have been a pretty big slacker as far as workouts go. Since my energy level was so low and I had a million and one things to do, my workouts were put on the back burner yet again at the beginning of the week. I did participate in the Mamavation Thanksgiving Turkey Trot to try and see how many steps I could get in on an otherwise normally lazy day. I made my SIL go out with me in the morning to take a walk and we wound up going almost 3 miles. All total for the day I got to 11018 steps. Not too shabby. The next day we also went out for a walk and made it 2.8 miles.
I haven’t done much other working out the last couple of days, besides walking while shopping.. haha
Food wise, I really didn’t go overboard and get stuffed.. But wound up drinking more sodas than I usually do.
My plan for this week is to get back in the groove of running/walking and to get some time in with my EA Sports Active Game.
I know the rest of the holiday season will be busy and with plenty of temptations, but I am hoping that I can stay focused and at least get some sort of workouts in even if I don’t eat as well as I should.. Just so hard to resist the sweets this time of year π
Belly Beautiful Postnatal Fitness and Busy Mom Workout posed the question to the Mamavation Moms this week: What are you thankful for in your life?
I am beyond thankful for a loving, hard working husband who supports me in all my crazy decisions. My two kids who are constantly growing and learning. All my family near and far and the love and support they give us. My overall health. And most importantly, knowing that God is watching over me and my family.

Wow! 11,000+ steps is amazing!! It's great that you encouraged your SIL to walk with you too!!
Thanks ladies. I am hoping to keep my count up. I just really need to work on the food side of all of this so I can actually start losing weight!!
Your step count is wonderful! This time of year can be a real challenge, but I figure if I can do it now, the rest of the year ought to be a walk in the park. Keep it up and don't hesitate to shout out if you need some support. π
Those steps are AWESOME! I did the trot too, but I think I may have eaten more than I should have to really lose with it. <br />We can totalyl do this,. my goal is to lose weight during the holidays- we both can do it! even if its ONE pound– it's not gained!
Best advice would be to schedule things in and plan plan plan π
